Yes, with a caveat...some (mostly quite older) macs need to think
they're connected to a monitor before they'll properly boot.


Shouldn't be a problem in this case as both computers will be connected to the monitor simultaneously. This isn't like a dumb KVM switch. The monitor would have to have both interfaces active independently as they are two different interfaces.

The modern style KVM switches don't have this problem either, AFAIK they present the monitor info to each computer whether the monitor is switched to that computer or not.
