As is sometimes true with a public posting, too much info and it does not get
posted, too little and the reasons are not understood. At the very least, this
is not a discussion about "how much I like my Mac" that was posted last week!!!!

I and some friends refurb Macs and give to poor. Now, what could happen if some
perv donated a box to us and we cleaned it up and gave it to a family with
young children or young adults who put it in their bedrooms or wherever?

But we did not know that hidden in the various parts of the box was a spy just
ready to peek!

With the current level of hysteria and a good leak of some pictures on Myspace
as a joke, we would have unknowingly been put at risk and exposed as a problem
not a solution.

So, you see, I am not at all a young "Dude, you're unbelievably paranoid"
or whatever kind of guy, just conducting an informal search for answers to
"what ifs" that we need to know, just in case.

I hope you now have a better understanding of my motives and by the way, thanks
for all the "good answers" posted.
