This article about enabling Mac hibernation on older Macs says that
Linux uses the same type thing called "software suspend". If Ubuntu
was using "software suspend" perhaps this could screw-up Mac sleep?
(Just a guess). I don't know if you can enable hibernation on a MDD?
It might be an option?
I've had nothing but problems with sleep, and try to avoid sleep as
much as possible. I haven't had any problems with hibernate, but I
understand that if hibernate "goes wrong" it can be worse than sleep
problems. It's cool that hibernate is basically a complete shutdown
that restarts your Mac fast at exactly the same state you left it.
