I can't confirm any loading of extensions since I use Tiger.
What? You can look in System Profiler under "Extensions", although
this may not show every extension. For a complete list of every
loaded extension open Terminal and use the command "kextstat"
without quotes and hit the Return key. You can search the list with
Find for "ADB".
Way too much work.
Back in the olde dayz when I provided tech support at Apple, (pre
PPC), I naturally had a tolerance for investigating and resolving the
problem of others but now in retirement, I simply want the machine to
work. OS X has provided the stability that meets my needs and the
couple of times when I experienced minor problems, just running disk
utility fixed it. Besides, I could give a rat's butt of concern to
internal ADB since it doesn't affect anything else I do.
One other experience was a kernel panic on my PowerBook. I booted in
safe mode, ran MacJanitor and all has been fine since.
My tinkering these days is limited to old cars...
