Much obliged,
You'll need a wifi router, or connect the ethernet port of one of the
desktops to the internet, and share the internet via that computers
wifi. Apple's Airport Extreme Base Station is really nice and allows
connecting USB drives and printers for sharing. They're quite
expensive however, compared to other offerings like Netgear or
Linksys. I have a NetGear 802.11g wifi router myself that I like a lot
and has prven to be quite reliable; but it's a touter only, no USB or
shared devices.
The computers are easy. The two G4's need Airport cards of the
appropriate vintage, or USB wifi devices. The iMac more than likely
has Wifi built-in already, although if it doesn't, like the G4's
you'll need either the appropriate Airport or USB device.
The Canon Pixma is easiest connected to either the iMac or the QS and
shared to the network, or shared via an AE. You may or may not be able
to access the scanning and fax features via the shared printer; it
depends on the drivers.
It's probably not possible to share the slide scanner across the
network.
