Subject: EDIT: A good and cheap video card
To: [email protected]
What would be a good (128 MB VRAM or more ,quartz extreame preferred) video
card that would fit into my PowerMac G4 dual 867mhz MDD's AGP slot? I am
looking for the best performance for when I upgrade to leopard. It is running a
geforce with 64 MB VRAM. Any suggestions? And how will my mac perform with this
stock card on leopard?
A good card is the ATI 9800 series which come either as 128 or 256mb cards.
They do run a bit hot however and you do have to plug the card into a molex HD
power connector as well.
Personally I'd be looking at the 256mb - more money but a better card.
It also depends on what applications you will be using as well.
