Yeah, This motherboard acted up even when I had os9 on it. So I am pretty sure its a mb or processor problem. I am hoping to get together a schematic for an ESR meter and go through the caps on the motherboard.. Might get lucky. Since the B&W is ending the back-end of its useful life I am not TOO concerned with this. I don't seem to be suffering the memory leak, since this thing acts up only when it is FRESHLY started. After about 5 min I can load, browse and do whatever without problems. Its just that initial connection between the application and the protocol that seems to be the problem. I can start other browsers side by side the stalled safari and they go ahead and load the set default page (google in safari and firefox case) right away. I have checked the console log and system log, and nothing seems to start or error out while safari sits stalled..
After the initial problem I can quit and restart safari and it starts right up and loads the default page without the pause. Weird. Well Thanks!!!
