Hi Baha, If you boot OS X (and a 400 mhz pismo should boot up to tiger without any trouble), you will need a USB bluetooth adapter to use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. There are many compatible adapters available; a site specializing in mac hardwire like other world will tell you about compatibility (which is something you'll have trouble finding out at best buy :/)
For wireless, you can use an original airport card (fits internally into your pismo) or a PCMCIA card (a newer card, fits into the PCMCIA expansion slot, will usually have an antenna sticking out the side). An original airport card would be limited to 802.11b, or 11 mbps, but if you get a PCMCIA card you can get one compatible with airport extreme (802.11g @ 54mbps or 802.11n @ 300mbps). This is one of those things you'll just have to research and decide what's right for you. Sonnet sells a PCMCIA card that's guaranteed to be compatible, macsense used to make one, and other world has a couple (I think). You might have trouble with divx (and other advanced video codecs). I know on my 800mhz g3 ibook, I couldn't watch divx movies unless they were the size of a postage stamp. The codecs haven't been optimized for G3 processors (video processing runs much faster with altivec) and the G3 just doesn't have enough horsepower to keep up with divx or mp4 AVC. (DVDs should be completely playable, since they use the older mpeg-2 codec, which doesn't require as much processing to decode.) There's also a group for G3 powerbooks and ibooks you might want to check out, it's g-books (http://groups.google.com/group/g-books). -sri On Apr 9, 9:47 am, Baha Ata <[email protected]> wrote: > Remote keyboar and mouse ( probably mouse with hand mouse ability) with > bluetooth will be wonderful but is it possible with pismo? > > Any wireless card recommendation? > > I plan to stick on g3 400 with default CPU, is it okey with itunes working > with mp3... > > Is it possible this play Divx? with this CPU (ofcourse no possiblity i guess > Hi-def) -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
