When the screen saver starts as it should it sometimes it doesn't want to wake up, only way is to hard shut down. No response from mouse or keyboard. Wired keyboard and mouse. Nothing else plugged in. Seems to happen only on the Tiger drive. > > "can't wake it up" -- what did you try? > > What else is plugged into the machine? internal? external? > > Wired or wireless keyboard? > >> also some time nothing on the desk top is responsive. > Sometimes the desk top seems to freeze, the mouse moves as it should and I can move windows but I can't select any actions. At the moment I just got done copying a DVD to a external drive and when it was done I tried to eject the DVD and the image left the desktop but the disk didn't eject, so I tried to go back to Disk Utility to eject thje disk and I have endless beachball. So another hard shutdown is in order. Will I be able to see this in the console?
