I really don't think that just simply renaming the extension will do anything. I had a song that was in the .WAV format, and i renamed it to the .MP3 format because if i use the .WAV format, my iPod nano 3G won't play it at all. When i converted the file format, the system told me the file was corrupt, so i had to change it back to the .WAV format. There should be a program that converts files to other formats somewhere on google...
