1. Make sure you have an OS 9 system installation disk and not an update disk. 2. Use compressed air or nitrogen to blow out the CD tray, sometimes they get dirt & dust inside and don't work perfectly; since you can mount and browse the CD this might not be your problem but it's easy to do. 3.
