What's up Listers? FoF ? ( fear of Facebook? )
I'm on fb and don't see how this would serve me in any way that the list
doesn't already. What I'm not interested in is seeing more crap on my wall.
I get tired of a hundred Farmville help requests a day too. I just use
the easy " hide " button. But I make sure I hit my friend's who are
hidden as often as possible. Once a week being minimum. you would not
wnat to be ignored for more than a week and still calll someone a
friend would you? Others who post media or meaningful content I leave
up all the time.
This is a beauty of having a wall. It is like your personal party room
where you can select those you converse with yet you go around the
room and make all of your friends at home. Not to say you want all
Listers here as direct contacts but as a group you can share interests
on a LEM FB Wall. .
I suspect that's the way most listers feel. Fewer and fewer new users select
ancient Macs as their first computer. That era has past. Those who get old
Macs have the moxie to find LEM by themselves.
Remember Mac EvangeList?
No, barely heard of it. It's gone, too. Sorry, Wallace, "The times, they
are a changin'." Don't get "Left Behind."
Who is left behind? Those who accept and use a modern venue like FB ?
I don't get your drift. And as much as I respect Dylan ( Joni
Mitchells advanced thinking cured me of that adoration I had) adapt or
die is my motto.
If you are on Fb are you really technophobic ? Maybe time to change the moniker.
I can't see FB being a big part of our computer usage until it adds
the hooks to allow
off-line message composition/submission.
In the time 1 sign on to the FB account and suffer the FB messaging
interface,
I could reply to a number of messages off-line, or do some more
enjoyable activity.
I look at the opportunity cost and it isn't time-effective.
Yes, both my lady and I have FB accounts but we would prefer using our
limited non-active recreation time other than struggling with
inefficient software.
