A minor caveat on installing a G4 in a B&W. Before installing the G4, you
also have to install a firmware patch which removes the block on G4s. Also,
based on a bad personal experience, I'd be wary of installing a G4 from a
Yikes in a Rev. 1 B&W.

Nope. Completely different method of mounting the CPU. What might be
possible is to transfer the entire guts of the G4 into the G3 case but
that's about all. If any of those G3's are still working you could
consider going on ebay and picking up a G4 CPU from a Yikes! as those
will swap right in to a G3 motherboard and they're usually pretty
cheap. You hardly see them over $20 anymore and most of the time they
are under $15.
