You can buy IR extenders, they are used were you have set-ups like a
Sat box in one room and a second TV in the bedroom, they comprise a
detector and an IR transmitter either wired together or wireless, as
far as I am aware these will work with any IR device including the
Apple remote.
you should find suitable devices at any TV shop.
