There is (or was) a FLASHing application under OS9 which could be used to FLASH Radeon 7000 cards (PC Edition) to Mac Edition firmware, PROVIDED the card had a full-size EEPROM.
Later, the cards were changed to have a half-sized EEPROM, if a PC Edition, thereby preventing "diversion".
