No I don't think the FW 800 MB will boot 9. I was refering to the G4 MDD FW 400 
booting OS 9 installed from a installation disk. The OS 9 that came on the MDDs 
had a special ROM and also had to be on a 200 GB or smaller HDD or partition. 
But you may try it, strange thing do happen if you mess around a little
