My iMac Core Duo often wakes up on his own if I turn on or off the
desk lamp, which is plugged in the same outlet as the iMac. Also,
plugging my Palm Centro when the Mac is asleep often wakes it up
(although I don't press the hotsync button, I only leave it there to
charge...).

I too have a DA (733 MHz processor), which I got for free (it was
about to be trashed...) along with a 17'' Apple Studio Display. It
seems like a very nice machine, and I believe it will serve for many
more years as my brother's computer (of course, I have to get its RAM
upgraded, and maybe throw a USB 2.0 card into it...). I really can't
believe someone would actually trash a perfectly working machine! :O
