There are two Lime iMacs, one without Firewire and one with Firewire (the "SE" (Special Edition) model). You're correct that this Lime iMac is likely without Firewire because it lacks a DVD drive, and all "SE" versions came with a DVD drive. While Apple doesn't "support" booting from a USB 1 port on a colored iMac or iBook, it DOES boot from USB 1. You use the Option key at boot to select the USB device and it boots fine, but slowly since it's USB 1.
