With mine going from a dual 1.0GHz to a dual 1.42GHz logicboard, everything was exactly the same except for the rear FW800 port. The plastic on the case covering this port had to be removed ( carefully ) but apart from that it was just a straight swap.

Well that should settle this, because I swap processors so I know that's good to go, now I know I can do the MOBO's too.
