I had the same model MDD as you and one of my CPUs bit the dust a couple of
years ago.
I decided a speed update would help too so I bought a dual 1.42GHz CPU off ebay
and used that which works fine.
Then a friends MDD started playing up so I sold him my logicboard and bought
the matching FW800 logicboard that matched the dual 1.42GHz CPU.
You could get either a dual 1.25GHz CPU ( FW 400 ) which does boot OS9 or a
dual 1.42GHz CPU ( FW 800 ) which does not boot OS9.
Note the dual 1.25GHz CPU ( FW 800 ) has a 167MHz bus but also does not boot
OS9.
All three of these will work with your logicboard.
You can get the dual 1.25GHz CPU with a 133MHz bus to work ( or so I am told )
as well but I'd stick to those with the 167MHz bus.
