If you want to go the USB route, there are cheaper solutions that do
just what the Roxio does. I use a device called "iGrabber," which works
perfectly for capture off VHS tapes. I've used it successfully with a
1.07GHz iBook G4, so your dual MDD should have no problems with it. The
files it spits out will work fine in iMovie.
