 To be clear on this problem a lot of times if you go to Diskwarrior as a first 
fix it may tell you that the HDD is all munged up and you can't replace or 
repair the directory
so if you go back and run Disk utility it will get the disk suitable for 
DiskWarrior's magic plus save some scary dialogs . Plus your problem may be a 
HDD getting a little wore out, they start the no shut down and stuck start up 
stuff prior to a pitch. Other wise your fix will take care of this.
