I still have a problem on 10.3.9 where I'm stuck. *.dmg files simply won't work when I attempt to open them while logged in as a privileged user. I created a new user with no privileges and he is able to read the *.dmg stuff and decompress it. After that I can login as myself and use the decompressed files to proceed with installations.
