Hi: I found a deal on a copy of Leopard, and updated my G4 DA. It's
been extensively upgraded:

- 1.5 GHz OWC processor
- 1.5 GB of RAM
- DVD-RAM
- Acard AEC6290M SATA card with a 160 GB HD
- Reflashed Geforce 6200 256MB video card
- USB PCI card
- maudio Delta 2496 sound card
- Sweet Multiport front panel

I had endless problems with the M-Audio Delta 2496 in my Quicksilver 2002 Dual 1GHz, especially under 10.5.8. My is a Dual processor and someone said that may be part of the issue ... the M-Audio drivers might not be written for dual cpus.

I don't believe M-Audio's drivers are good under Leopard ... Tiger 10.4.11 is reportedly better, but that's where the development stopped. The Uninstall under Leopard doesn't work either. You have to manually remove all the files. I came up with this manual uninstall.

Manual Uninstall

Drag these to the Trash and Restart:

/Users/moonstoneartstudio/Library/Preferences/MAUDIODelta0Settings
/Users/moonstoneartstudio/Library/Preferences/com.m- audio.panel.delta.plist

/Library/StartupItems/M-Audio PCI Audio Helper (entire folder at once)
/Library/PreferencePanes/M-Audio Delta Family.prefPane
/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers/DeltaMIDIDriver.plugin

/Applications/M-Audio Delta Control Panel.app

I suggest removing that M-Audio PCI card and see how things go.
