My partners Cube which was the first one I got four years ago was used
everyday for eight hours in an ad agency and gets used now at least for an hour
by her and my daughter so it has seen a fair bit of work. The others , I really
don't know too much about and only get used on odd occasions by me.
Replacing ports on Logicboards is not really that difficult, just more fiddly
than anything - I've had to do it on two different G4s - both USB and FW, but
you do need a steady hand, experience and a good soldering wand that you can
adjust the heat on.
I'm still looking for a 1.2GHz CPU for my main Cube too ..... one day.
