Hello! This is my first message; I greet everyone.
I'm sorry that my first message already contains a question... :#) I have a desktop beige G3 with floppy, CD, ZIP drive (266 MHz CPU). System is 8.1. I have the disk images of a software I urgenty need to install onto the Mac, and I'm going through a lot of troubles. :-( Those images are floppy images, of an unknown type. Software source is long gone (old drum scanner software). Size is 1474644 bytes. I have Disk Copy 6.3.3 on the Mac, but it does not recognize the images. So, I tried writing them to a floppy using a Linux box, with the Linux "dd" command (using the trick 'bs=84 skip=1"). This way, the floppy mounts in Mac OS, I see the right files, but everything I try to do (copying the files etc.) ends with a disk error. If I don't specify "bs=84 skip=1", I can't write the image on the floppy from Linux because it says it's beyond floppy capacity (in fact it's 1474644 vs. 1474580 which is the floppy capacity). Is there anyone here who can help me?
