Well, Vizio is on my normal list of recommended monitors, as is Acer (I have an older Acer 20" monitor at home that's proven to be a real workhorse.) Again, this isn't a 'resolution problem' with the Mini or the monitor, it's a defective monitor...(or the resolution being sent isn't the one it's claimed to be, which would be VERY weird.)
