ok, "Basically, anything I touch isn't working " was right.
reseated everything and all is right in the world.
I laid the computer on it's side to get more leverage & to see better.
Damn near had to jump up & down on the RAM sticks.
Not at all like my old Dell where the sticks just kept falling out.
