What I would like to do is send the identical message with the individual address visible without creating the same message over and over.

Check on MacUpdate - there are a number of mailing list / mail merge type apps.

Careful whoze SMTP server you use tho. Even with a one-off generator, you could get nailed as a spammer, and end up blacklisting yourself or your service provider.

I know spammers do this, but this isn't spam.

Depends on how you define 'spam'.   *shrug*
