Well, darn it, the updater reports that this computer already has 4.4.8F2. It's one of the single 1.25GHz 2003 MDDs. So I guess that shouldn't be surprising. Hmmm, I seem to remember about some kind of hack to change the fan speed parameters. Now I wonder where I saw that. Maybe starting through XLR8yourmac.com? The thing is, the fan speed control seems to be perfect under OSX. I don't really want to do something that will mess that up. Hmmmm.
