Beige G3s were the last desktop models before the models which depended
upon the MacOS ROM file.

As such, what you see is what you get.

There were two mobo versions and three ROM SIMM versions, making these 1A,
2A and 2B and 2C.

The A ROM doesn't support slave drives.

The B and C ROMs do.

The difference between the B and C ROMs, both of which support slave
drives, is better graphics chip support (for the Rev. 2 mobo) in the C ROM
over the B ROM.

These pre-New World desktop Macs are now so old it doesn't make much sense
to expand these beyond what you might have in-hand.

The bus is 66 MHz, and the RAM is limited to 3 x 256 MB = 768 MB.

10.3 is a better OS than 10.2, for this model.

SCSI drive support is actually superior to the native IDE support, for
this model.
