Fair enough. I have 5 MDD G4s, along with (too many) TiVos. In 25 Mac years, I've only had one drive fail me, a Seagate in a TiVo. Never had a failed Maxtor or WD. (I know Seagate bought Maxtor) So for me, I have no significant failure experience on any drives. The one SG was under warranty, and they swapped it out based on date code, no hassle over no receipt, and gave me a UPS label. So that fail gave me good vibes on their cust service.
