I checked this out but I will not let me import any actions for my
HP Scanner. With out this I can not achieve what I am wanting to
do other suggestions?

This would let you use Image Capture instead of the HP software,
which is much better supported by Automator. Gonna do this at home,
since my Canon is one of the supported ones.

I also forgot to state that my HP scanner is accessible via the
ethernet connection. No connected by USB.
