Yes the mac is worthless now, a mere shadow of itself, doomed to failure because we don't have the holy grail of a cheap, expandable-by-means-of-pci-cards Mac, discounting: Firewire, USB, Thunderbolt, WiFi, Bluetooth.... Look, SCSI is dead. While it's nice that people still have old drives and other peripherals laying about, it's still dead. Even high end server equipment no longer uses SCSI, but SATA and SAS. In our own 'small to mid'-sized enterprise style system at the College the only SCSI devices will still have are in our oldest servers, slated for surplus. People argue passionately about expansion slots, but the bald truth is: for 95% of the personal computers in use they're irrelevant dead weight. Apple focuses on that 95%. -- Bruce Johnson "Wherever you go, there you are" B.
