This is odd, because I don't think the driver puts anything in the pram. I 
suspect a coincidental issue with something else.

It works just fine with mine on both the computers it's installed on (both 
running 10.6 btw, but it worked just fine in every OS I've ever used it in, 
which goes back to OS 7.... 

I've actually NEVER had a problem with Kensington's drivers; the only problems 
with the trackballs I've ever had was when they physically wore out, and older 
ones' amazing ability to attract cat fur to the optical sensors :-) I've become 
pretty adept at field-stripping them to clean 'em...
