I honestly never understood the purpose behind a RAID setup. Maybe I dn't understand it, but it seems to me if you have 4 1 TB drives set up in a RAID you just have 1TB duplicated 4 times. Makes losing one or two drives meaningless in this case, and that's the point. But you're talking about 1 TB, not 4.
