A 270-degree iSATA cable is just a variation on the theme of a 90-degree
iSATA cable.

All the mobo manufacturers recommend 90-degree iSATA cables for the
optical drive, as it is generally at the very top of the case.

However, many PC-type cases support three optical drives and six hard drives.

Whether the PSU can accommodate that is a whole 'nother matter.

I DO have one machine which has three optical drives ... two regular
burners and a Blu-Ray burner.

It has two HDs, too ... one (500 GB) for 10.6.7 and one (1.5 TB) for
containing the results of DVD rips.

Anyway, I see no particular value for 270-degree iSATA cables, and
slightly more value for 90-degree iSATA cables.

For most purposes, I use all 0-degree iSATA cables.
