On my last operating QS 2002 dual 1.0 GHz I always ran two Ethernets, one from the gigabit port on the motherboard and another as a R8169 32-bit PCI card. The cards I bought for this purpose were about $2.99 on sale at Fry's Electronics, and were Fry's house brand, but were identical to nearly everyone else's R8169 proof-of-concept model. R8169 drivers have been in MacOS X since Day One, and there is even an OS 9 driver for this card, available from Realtek or its German distributor. I operated a B&W G3 for a while with an R8169 card, too. -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
