I would suggest that this has a fairly high probability of being the issue, 
especially under OS 9. This is happening when you do a lot of cutting and 
pasting. Keyboard and mousing, in other words.

Why do you have multiple keyboards/mice on the same ADB chain?
Why are you using ADB devices instead of USB?

What RAM allocation have you given to FMP? What happens if you kick it up?

Have you considered going to OS X? VASTLY more stable than os9, FMP should run 
under both, WriteNow will work just fine under emulation.
