I have two 1TB hard drives that are in my main computer. One is a Hitachi, and the other is a Western Digital. Never had any problems with either of them. I've had them for more than a year, and the computer, including both hard drives are have been running 24/7.
I would be a little worried about trusting online backups, because you never know if you can really trust that your data will remain there, or if it will remain private. That may just be my paranoia speaking of course... I would get two hard drives, and have the primary set to backup everything onto the other drive on a regular basis. One might go bad, but it's very unlikely that both will go bad at the same time. Just my 2 cents. -Jonas -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
