I have a G4 933 with a factory Zip and DVD. If you want a picture of the mounting I can send you one. To me it appears to just be mounted into the lower bay - no special door. Its a QS not a MDD so I dont know if this helps you.

It was mounted internally in one of the hard drive bays.
Apple didn't sell many as most people used the CD/DVD burner or opted
for a USB Zip drive.

I recently became the owner of a dual 1.0ghz G4 MDD. In looking at the various specs online, I see references to a Zip-250 drive as an optional
item. Out of curiousity:

1) Has anyone ever actually seen an MDD with a factory Zip?
2) Does it use a special bracket/door or is it just a normal desktop Zip
drive on a 5.25" frame and stuffed into the lower bay?

Thanks...
John
