I would think that running 10.5 at 350MHz would be painfully slow, as it is not what I would call Fast on my Dual 1.42GHz G4 MDD PowerMac. Although lacking in shear numbers of available software written for it at this time, you might want to take a look at the OS mentioned in my signature on your 350MHz G4 to see what a small footprint, and efficient OS looks like in comparison to 10.4 or 10.5.
