Darryl,

As long as your computer does what you want and need it to do, there's
no need to upgrade. Mindless upgrades are for lemmings.

That said, I would think twice before spending any hard-earned cash on
a G5, IMVHO.

I don't "hate" Apple for their increasing trend of forcing relatively
new Macs into early (and completely artificial) obsolescence, but I am
disappointed. IMVHO, Lion was and remains a disappointing upgrade that
broke all the good stuff ushered in by Leopard and Snow Leopard.

Although I do still use and enjoy my Macs, for the past few months my
main computer has been a Sony Vaio running Linux Mint 12.
