We are all assuming that you are attempting to avoid opening spam, thereby sending the message that yours is a live email address. If this is the case, you can turn off the Mail option to automatically load email images. I've understood that it's that that triggers the response to the spammer. The option is in both the Mail client and the Webmail versions.
