Also make sure it is not a malfunction cause by a faulty lid switch or bad PRAM battery buy disconnecting the power and pulling the battery out for 10 to 30 seconds and press the caps-lock button to make sure the LED is off and it is completely powered down. Then try booting it up again.
If nothing happens then google how to reset your models PRAM battery and try again.
