This is good advice and correct, a poorly seated personality card will kill the video. If you get the onboard video working, and you're going to use it, you'll probably want to get the optional 4 MB VRAM chip to bump the OEM 2 MB up to the onboard max of 6 MB. A 32 MB or 64 MB Radeon card would be a lot better option IF you're going to be using this Mac regularly.
