I may be wrong?
I have a Sony monitor very similar to yours (mine is an E500). I do not notice on my monitor the same problem you are experiencing, thus I cannot really help. IMO, though, there IS a glass panel in front of the actual CRT, because I think a CRT cannot be completely flat as the monitor appears. Hence, it could be some dust infiltrated between the CRT and that glass; I know some iMac (G5/Intel) had this problem, dust infiltrating underneath the screen (static energy on the screen obviously helps). Although, looking for "monitor dust inside" on Google, it looks like the dust problem affects much more the LCD displays than it does with the CTRs. -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
