I'm reporting an issue with g4u 2.1 and also g4u 1.7 ISO Images files.
I'm using this software to assist in cloning of Solaris x86 for AMD Opeteron servers. I've tried downloading the compressed version and the uncompressed version and I'm using Nero burning software to create the bootable ISO. I couldn't get the system to boot up from the CD. I've also tried using another PC and boot from CD, but somehow, it also failed to read the CD.
Is there any issues with the ISO images ?
The SUN Opteron workstation doesn't come with any floppy interface and it's using SATA disks. It has a DVD RW in there connected to the primary IDE interface and the SATA backplane is connected via a SATA interface onboard.
What g4u version do you use
I'm trying using both that is available on your homepage 2.1 and also 1.7.
What exact command(s) did you use
I did not gotten to this stage at all.
What exact output did you get (all of it, 1:1, no interpretation on your own)
Did not get to this stage as well.
What does "disks" say? "parts"?
Did not get to this stage as well.
If you have some problems with some network card or disk driver, please include the relevant parts from "dmesg" output (scroll down with 'space')
Did not get to this stage as well.
What operating system, filesystem type and FTP server software do you use on your FTP server?
I'm cloning a Solaris x86 for AMD Opteron and not using a FTP server at all. Deciding to use the copydisk utility to clone the disk locally. The solaris is using UFS filesystem (default).
Hope to get a response from you soon.
Rgds.
