Is there any issues with the ISO images ?
No, but why do you assume it's in the g4u ISOs and not in your CD-writing software? Have you written ISOs with Nero before? I always hear people complain that there are huge problems writing ISO files with Nero. I don't use Nero (or Windows) so I can't help, but maybe someone this list knows the trick.
IIRC there's a port of cdrecord for Windows, maybe try that one.
I'm cloning a Solaris x86 for AMD Opteron and not using a FTP server at all. Deciding to use the copydisk utility to clone the disk locally. The solaris is using UFS filesystem (default).
If you "just" want disk mirroring, there's fine software in Solaris to do that, i.e. Solaris' DiskSuite (or what they call it today), and I hear ZFS is very good too.
For the record, I used to administrate Solaris for quite some time, and I think it's a very nice and good operating system, or actually: I think it's the best thing available on this planet. After NetBSD. And far before Linux and Windows. YMMV. Sun added some nonsense in Solaris 10 (the startup system!), but well.
