[g4u-help] Keyboard problems / beta dies on boot

Computer is:
HP dx5150MT / SATA / Standard keyboard, mouse

With version 2.1 boot displays: kbc: cmd word write error
and the keyboard does not work.  Tried with 2 keyboards, both standard connections (no USB)

Version 2.2 beta also has the keyboard issues and dies with:

uvm_fault(0xc0a8cc20, 0x10000, 1) -> 0xe
kernel: supervisor trap page fault, code=0
Stopped in pid 0.1 (swapper) at 0xc0504d6e: testb $0x2,0x10000(%eax)

Any ideas?
Had trouble with Acronis SnapDeploy too, and Ghost is way too expensive for us.  I'd rather manually configure the systems.
